Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: AXIS-1350
    Summary: new MessageElement(new Element()) does not behave like an Element
       Type: Bug

     Status: Unassigned
   Priority: Major

    Project: Axis
 Components:
             Basic Architecture
   Versions:
             1.2 Beta

   Assignee:
   Reporter: Dominic Battre

    Created: Thu, 6 May 2004 4:57 PM
    Updated: Thu, 6 May 2004 4:58 PM

Description:
As some of my types are mapped to MessageElement I would like to use it internally. If I do
something like that:

Element e = rootDoc.createElement(...);
MessageElement m = new MessageElement(e);
m.hasChildNodes();

an Exception is risen because MessageElement does not consider its attribute elementRep (created
by new MessageElement(e)).

The following patch delegates all methods of the Element interface to elementRep if it was
assigned an Element.
