Here are the details of further investigation:

1) the envleope does get mutated but that's not the bug
2) any attempt to print the mutated soapEnvelope.getHeader results in inaccurate
dumps.
3) the same happens even if we iterate thru the header children.

So, any new element that has been added is there but can't be seen! Any that has
been deleted in really gone but can still be seen.

Could not reproduce this in an isolated test case, so wouldn't press my case.
I'm however documenting the behaviour here so that other users that may have
similar experiences can find it in future.
