Somehow, the original response about my implementation of soap:header support was not that positive... After cleaning it up a bit and clarifying the situation I got rather good feedback from the committers regarding getting it in even if the patch was not perfect. A month ago I got Glen Daniel's attention, we were supposed to looked into it and go from there, but I got assigned to other tasks which prevented us from pursuing the effort. I am still maintaining it on a weekly basis hoping that I will get some time to work on this soon... Its major lack is around proper exception handling. In my opinion it could even go in as is since it does not break anything and on top of that isn't this work in progress anyway? May you Glen hear this conversation please feel free to come back to me about this, it looks like it is a much wanted feature... It was a good start towards header support. Maybe Sylvain should get RW-committer rights? It is a shame that this isn't getting into b3 with no explicit -1's (that I remember) against the patch. /Chris -----Original Message----- From: St-Germain, Sylvain [mailto:Sylvain.StGermain@cognos.com] Sent: Tuesday, July 02, 2002 9:33 AM To: axis-user@xml.apache.org Subject: RE: wsdl2Java proxy classes and SOAP headers Axis does support SOAP header but not yet out of the box. I.e. wsdl2java ignores the soap:header entries in the WSDL. I have a patch for it but it has not yet made its way into the main branch. Let me know if you are interested I can post it. If so, does anyone have a simple code snippet for passing SOAPHeaders with the beta2 build. I am trying to pass user credentials to a .Net protected webservice. I also need to pass an X509 certificate but have not been able to figure out how to pass the certificate with the proxy classes generated by wsdl2java tool.
