Just spotted an error in this patch. Line 670 of the patched HTTPSender builds a
message using the socket's inputstream, so the socket needs to be left open when
we exit invoke(). Don't use the patch right now, it will only work for
CommonsHTTPSender. I'll send a replacement later today.
