Subject Re: [GUMP] Build Failure - Axis

Oops. Looks like I forgot something yesterday. It's fixed, now.

Doug, I would rather not go back to the original address book sample. The
original had a hand-generated stub and hand-generated types because we
didn't have a WSDL->java emitter at the time. Now that we DO have
Wsdl2java, I don't think we should present a model that's almost like it
but isn't consistent with any spec. HOWEVER, I see no problem with
creating a NEW address book sample that shows a different way of doing
things. In fact, once we have the DII bindings in place, I would expect us
to present a sample using those interfaces.

I DO agree that it would be really nice if the current sample did not
include the generated code, but rather instructions to the user on how to
generate the code. Unfortunately, I had to tweak deploy.xml. I would much
rather change the sample to use untouched generated code, or change the
emitter to generate the code necessary for this sample. Any idea how I
could tweak the emitter?

I went to fix this and noticed that this is a generated file (the generator
is
fixed already) so we just need to regen these files - however, Russell,
can we switch the addr sample back to the way it was (no WSDL) and
create a new addr sample that does use the WSDL stuff *and* creates
the generated files during the build process rather than checking-in
them in?
