You have to attach the patch to JIRA bug. Regular diff -u patch is enough. = When attaching the patch, you have to give apache licence permission to the patc= h.

My changes also include new unit tests for the UTF-8 transcoder. I integrated them with the other Guththila unit tests tha= t were a bit crufty, so I got them working, too. I’ll include tha= t in the patch as well.

We have not looked into this for some time, because both folks who were involved wi= th this part of the code went on to pursue their studies.
