Subject Re: Install Problems on RedHat Enterprise/Apache 2.0.46

Maybe some more information...
I ran axis_simple_server under strace. I'm not an strace expert, but it
appears to die shortly after opening the xerces library:

<snip>
open("/usr/local/axiscpp_deploy/etc/server.wsdd", O_RDONLY) = 5
close(5)                                = 0
read(4, "", 4096)                       = 0
close(4)                                = 0
munmap(0xb75f2000, 4096)                = 0

I found something in the mailing list archives about a similar error if the
xerces library isn't found or is the wrong version, so I verified that
/usr/local/lib/libxerces-c.so does exist. The install documentation
references xerces 2.2, while I had 2.7.  So I removed 2.7 and installed 2.2

Still nothing - same error.
Thanks
Eric
