Subject [jira] Commented: (AXIS2C-1427) guththilla/configure should not check for CXX as it is not used
Date Thu, 28 Jan 2010 07:39:34 GMT

S.Uthaiyashankar commented on AXIS2C-1427:

If configure could not find any C++ compilers, it should ignore and go ahead. I tested this
in an environment which doesn't have g++ or c++ installed, and works correctly.

Can you please attach the error you are getting? Does the problem come only in guththila?
because, same marco is definied in axiom, util, and axis2/c files.

> This makes harder to build Axis2/C on environments where no C++ compiler is available
or where it is broken (such as on AIX with Visual Age C++ 6 without a license manager). Workaround:
configure CXX=cc.
