Hi Fred,
    I cannot access the Jira system at the moement hence I am replying
to mailing list.

    As you have requested, I have added the Makefile.am files to the
project to enable GNU make based build. I am creating 3 libs, 1.
transport 2. channel and 3.ssl-channel

    The source compiles, but failes to run. Would have to dig a bit
further to figure out how.

BTW, I guess we have to update the ant build sstem as well.
