hi Damitha,

Yes, attachments are in extention to the axis engine. But again I have a
doubt here... it doestn't fit in well some where.....is it really a
extention to the Engine, or should it be a built in functionlity within
the engine?

But the way it looks to me is, this has to be part of the engine, as a
plugable component may be as Samisa sujjest, but I don't see why that we
should get Handlers involved in here. (Certainly Handlers are meant to
extend the Axis Engine, but .... it don't seem to fit well in here to
me).

> If we are to clutter the engine core each time with
> extentions like this it is not good practise.

Agrred, but we can have a plugable component like the plugable Transport,
plugable parser etc. Like wise I think we can have a plugable componet to
handle attachemtns with the Axis engine. May be one for MIME, one for MTOM etc.
(If MTOM is also a mechanims that could be used to handler attachments, I am
not sure abt this).
