       Body:
Can we rely on any other third party transport to have such a mechanism of passing a configuration
directive to Axis?; Since someone may comeup with another transport for another web server
( in which case it will need to have a similar mechanism).

Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: AXISCPP-146
    Summary: Extension to Apache2 Configuration to remove need of AXIS_HOME environment variable
       Type: Improvement

     Status: Unassigned
   Priority: Major

    Project: Axis-C++
 Components:
             Configuration
   Versions:
             1.2 Final

   Assignee:
   Reporter: Rainer Bieniek

    Created: Thu, 2 Sep 2004 1:15 PM
    Updated: Mon, 27 Sep 2004 4:45 AM

Description:
The included patch augments the apache 2 configuration to specify the axis-c home directory
in the configuration file. This removes the dependency on the AXIS_HOME environment variable.

A configuration can look like this:
Listen 9001

LoadModule axis_module modules/libaxiscpp_mod2.so
AxisHome /opt/axis-c-1.2

<VirtualHost *:9001>
 <Location /axis>
 SetHandler axis
 </Location>
</VirtualHost>
