Subject [jira] [Commented] (AVRO-823) Support Avro data files in C#

Curt Hagenlocher commented on AVRO-823:
---------------------------------------

For what it's worth, I was able to apply the 20-Jul patch under Windows and run the tests
without updating the Newtonsoft JSON library. I did have to add a reference to the existing
version into the test project file, as well as a reference to System.Runtime.Serialization.

There was a single test error from one of the instances in TestPartialRead. This test appears
to be fairly fragile in that it assumes a given codec will always produce output of a particular
length. But it's entirely plausible -- likely, even -- for different implementations or settings
of (say, deflate) to produce different output lengths.

I'll try to test this on Mono + Linux over the weekend.
