Subject [jira] [Created] (AVRO-1138) avro-c: can`t set default block size in avro_file_writer_open
Date Mon, 13 Aug 2012 13:58:38 GMT
Pugachev Maxim created AVRO-1138:
------------------------------------

Summary: avro-c: can`t set default block size in avro_file_writer_open
                 Key: AVRO-1138
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AVRO-1138
             Project: Avro
          Issue Type: Bug
    Affects Versions: 1.7.1
            Reporter: Pugachev Maxim
         Attachments: AVRO-1138.patch

There is no way to set a default block size while opening avro log. For example, I can create
a file writer with a custom block size (say, 128kb) and write a big record. But if I`ll open
it later trying to write something bigger than default size (say, 90kb record), I`ll get an
error.
