Yes, that would be good.  The DataFileWriter constructor should accept an Encoder then call
Encoder#init(buffer).  DataFileReader's constructor should similarly accept a Decoder.

We should also add a getEncodingType() method to both Encoder and Decoder that return "avro.text"
or "avro.binary", then have DataFileWriter store the encoder's type in the metadata under
 "encoding", and DataFileReader check that this matches the decoder used.
