Subject CVS Surgery
Date Mon, 07 Oct 2002 09:08:56 GMT
Hi,

I have noticed that someone has gone and done CVS surgery on cvs.apache.org in
the jakarta-avalon-excalibur/event/ hierarchy. However a rm -rf was done on
the old versions.

Please don't do this because anyone who had checked those versions out has
problems when they go to update. The old files will not get deleted and they
can get wierd error messages. If you really want to perma-delete them from
CVS then just delete the files and leave the directories on the server.

If that could happen it would be great and it would stop some gump failures ;)
