And you also extended the colored block on LHS which looks really really 
really ugly when you have small banner but lots of text because you have a 
few pages with color bar down LHS.

I turn off javascript on Konqueror and it displays as a line which looks fine. 
However I suspect it is probably a javascript incompatability thing. Not 
sure. I don't do javascript if I can help it ;)

No idea. I have only looked at it in two browsers. IE5 and Konqueror 3.02
