Naah - dependencies in gump are not transitive (sp?) except under particular 
circumstances. So you need to add an intrument dependency on datasource. 
Alternatively you could do the following

* mark the instrument dependency of pool as being needed at runtime by adding 
something like runtime="true" to its declaration
* make the pool dependency of datasource inherit all the jars needed by 
runtime by adding inherit="runtime" to dependency declaaration
