Yes, but back then we didn't have dependencies like jmxri.jar for
baxter, and altrmi for instrument-client. As excalibur grows, this
problem gets worse.

Absolutely agree that users should be able to type 'ant' in the root,
and have something intelligible happen, not a compiler error.
