I had just noticed that BlockContext.getDefaultThreadPool() forced a runtime exception rather than behaved in a backwards compatible way, thus forcing the migration early ;-) Perhaps we could limit the purges to Phoenix and Cornerstone then as considerably less people/teams use those APIs.
