SOAP is client exposed services/API of an Application
Avalon is the core around which Server application can be created.
EJB are a way to organize the server components esp. for db Access. There is
some conceptual overlap between EJB container and Avalon Container, but EJB
solutions tend to be oriented towards application logic and databases,
whereas Avalon provides a general way of building Java Server applications.
