Subject Re: Installation of Atlas fails with 11/04/2016 code

Hi Ushma,

It looks like recent changes to make HBase the default Atlas storage
backend has broken Atlas startup on Windows, as the startup script is
assuming a Unix platform and trying to run, which then
fails since Windows could not execute the shell script. I have opened
ATLAS-659 and will investigate a fix.

Subject:	Installation of Atlas fails with 11/04/2016 code

Hi All,

Today when I tried to start Atlas with latest code as of 11/04/2016 It
fails with below error.

configured for local hbase.
Exception: [Error 193] %1 is not a valid Win32 application
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "", line 113, in <module>
    returncode = main()
  File "", line 68, in main
    mc.run_hbase(mc.hbaseBinDir(atlas_home), "start", hbase_conf_dir,
line 365, in ru
    return runProcess(cmd, logdir, False, wait)
line 194, in ru
    p = subprocess.Popen(commandline, stdout=stdoutFile,
stderr=stderrFile, shell=shell)
  File "C:\Python27\lib\", line 710, in __init__
    errread, errwrite)
  File "C:\Python27\lib\", line 958, in _execute_child
WindowsError: [Error 193] %1 is not a valid Win32 application

I see that HBase is added in Atlas payload which is failing . How do I
make Atlas get installed?

Thanks & Regards,
