Hemanth Yamijala commented on ATLAS-279:
----------------------------------------

Hi, I took this patch for a run. Found couple of important bugs. Please can you debug and
address these?

For all the tests, I used default atlas server and imported hive tables using import-hive.sh
script.

1. [ATLAS-279 issue] Query of the form "from hive_table select tableName, owner" is not showing
the tableName column. Note that firing it alone (i.e. firing "from hive_table select tableName")
works. Attaching UI (hive_table_select_bug.png) and relevant response (hive_table_select_bug.txt)

2. [ATLAS-244 issue] Defined a new tag with an attribute. Tried to attach the tag to a hive_table.
The add tag UI shows the attribute name as undefined. Attaching UI (tag_addition_missing_attr_name_bug.png)
and relevant response (tag_addition_missing_attr_name_bug.txt). As a result of this, when
saving, the attribute values are not being saved properly to the DB.

3. [ATLAS-239 issue] Defined a new tag with a parent tag. Both had 1 attribute each. Tried
to attach the child tag to a hive_table. The add tag UI does not show the attribute names
of both parent and child. It only shows one attribute as undefined. The UI shows calls are
fired to get parent_tag and child_tag definition, but the responses don't seem to be used.
Attached UI (tag_association_missing_child_attrs.png)

4. [ATLAS-239 issue] When creating a new tag, parent tag selection allows to select a blank
entry in the parent tags list. Image (can_select_empty_line_in_parents.png). When that's selected
and saved - I get an error "Unknown superType in definition of type another_tag"
