Perhaps we can solve the underlying problem of performance on retrieving traits, alleviating the need for this. Otherwise, I am ok with caching the traits in the UI as long as it is obvious how to refresh. In a steady state system, the addition of Tags/Traits will happen reasonably infrequently so caching will generally not be a concern. See the hive view explorer for a visual how this has been accomplished in Ambari: https://monosnap.com/file/QC5lakWp2w73mmTmuKdRMyxwyHkIEL > UI: Local storage for traits - caching [not cleared on refresh] To be cleared on time lapse for 1hr. > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: ATLAS-311 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ATLAS-311 > Project: Atlas > Issue Type: Task > Reporter: roshni gadiyar > Priority: Minor > Labels: Atlas-UI > > Local storage for traits - caching [not cleared on refresh] To be cleared on time lapse for 1hr. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332)
