Subject [jira] [Commented] (ASTERIXDB-1858) Tiny tweak for new JSON formatting (display) option?
Date Sat, 25 Mar 2017 17:33:42 GMT

Michael J. Carey commented on ASTERIXDB-1858:

One other thought: Using the JSON formatter should probably be the default when the selected
format is JSON? The current user experience is a little wierd with the "Format JSON" check
box - I don't think we should have that there - I think instead we should add another pull-down
option in the formats box, since the formatter only works when the format is JSON and is otherwise
ignored - these check boxes are for query optimization stages. For the format, let's have
"JSON" and "JSON (formatted)" as options, perhaps?

NOTE: This is a fantastic new feature in the UI! :-)

(The first thing "item" binds to for me is "record" - whereas here it is referring to how
many fields.)
