| Subject | A little explanation about --enable-nonportable-atomics ? |
| Date | Wed, 21 Jan 2009 15:29:50 GMT |
Hi, could someone explain to me why a binary generated from atomic/unix/ia32.c would not be portable ? Is this just because of APR_SIZEOF_VOIDP or are there any other reasons that I do not see ? Another way to see ask the question is: Provided that I build have both apr libraries for 32 and 64 bits, is it safe to specify --enable-nonportable-atomics, (as I definitively do not want atomics to rely on mutex ?) Many thanks for any coming explanations about this. Thierry | |
