Well, I gave a look again into the patch and I think it should work becau=
se in reality the win32 port was already existing but not for msys, that'=
s why the patch mostly touches the configure scripts... since you are not=
 giving much details except your surprise, I can guess you are not able t=
o apply a patch correctly or the content of patched files changed in a ma=
nner that they could not be updated directly (a newer patch made on curre=
nt trunk would be required in that case).

I'm not a developer of APR so I have not title to speak but seriously, yo=
u should avoid comments like this one: people may think you are just tryi=
ng to make a flame war and they will ignore you and perhaps the patch too=
 (sad...)
