You have attached a politely worded request, so we accept the code under the conditions of the grant, or we reject it for the conditions. The APR project has a strong history of absolute CLA's with respect to every substantial contribution (yes - I see yours is on file) and a very strong vendor neutrality. You offer this code as an individual. Even if you are employed by Sun, and paid to work on APR related issues, and Sun (under CCLA) claims the copyright to your work; you represent that you have the legal authority to submit this code under your own CLA to the project. I have no desire to break this vendor neutrality policy for the benefit of one class/source file, but I won't commit your submission with this bullet point attached to your submission. I say this not with my own employer's hat on, but in the interest of the project's long term health. I'm CC'ing Sam Ruby that he might help you work through any issues at Sun. Please correspond with him and, if it's possible to resubmit your code in the same format as the rest of APR, we welcome the contribution. NOTICE is for the purpose at this project of notifying anyone of anything that is in this code, who's providence is not an ASF CLA. This includes external libraries and code borrowed from external sources. Yours, Bill
