Subject compiling apr-iconv-1.1.1 on OSX
Date Thu, 30 Mar 2006 01:13:28 GMT
Hi I am having some problems compiling apr-iconv-1.1.1 on OSX 10.3.9. I
have successfully compiled apr-1.2.2 and apr-util-1.2.2 but have not
installed them and am then running configure for apr-iconv-1.1.1 with
the -with-apr option and specifying a relative path. So the structure
looks like this:

\apr\apr-1.2.2
\apr\apr-util-1.2.2
\apr\apr-iconv-1.1.1

When I run make I get an error:
.
.
.
/bin/sh /Users/kru028/apr/apr-1.2.2/libtool --mode=link gcc -g -O2
-DHAVE_CONFIG_H -DDARWIN -DSIGPROCMASK_SETS_THREAD_MASK -no-cpp-precomp
-I/Users/kru028/apr/apr-iconv-1.1.1/lib
-I/Users/kru028/apr/apr-iconv-1.1.1/include
-I/Users/kru028/apr/apr-1.2.2/include -module -avoid-version -rpath
NONE/lib/iconv -o iso-8859-1.la iso-8859-1.lo
libtool: link: only absolute run-paths are allowed

So it looks like rpath is not getting set. Any ideas?

Alex
