The lib file has never (as far as I recall) had the version number in 
the filename.

MSVCR70.dll is from VC++ 7.0 (Visual Studio .NET 2002)
MSVCR71.dll is from VC++ 7.1 (Visual Studio .NET 2003)
MSVCR80.dll is from VC++ 8.0 (Visual Studio .NET 2005)
