From Sander Temme <scte...@covalent.net>
Subject Another darwin/10.1 problem
Date Sat, 29 Dec 2001 19:04:26 GMT
Just did my standard build using HEAD. There is a problem loading DSO images
into the server. This worked for a while, but stopped working between the
last time I looked at this and somewhere last week. Symptom:

[monalisa:/tmp/apache2] sctemme% bin/apachectl start
Syntax error on line 218 of /tmp/apache2/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /tmp/apache2/modules/mod_access.so into server: cannot create
object file image
bin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started
[monalisa:/tmp/apache2] sctemme% setenv DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH
"/tmp/apache2/lib:/tmp/apache2/modules"
[monalisa:/tmp/apache2] sctemme% bin/apachectl start
Syntax error on line 218 of /tmp/apache2/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /tmp/apache2/modules/mod_access.so into server: cannot create
object file image
bin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started
[monalisa:/tmp/apache2] sctemme%

Configure line:

./configure --prefix=$PREFIX \
            --enable-mods-shared=most \
            --with-port=8080 \
            --enable-maintainer-mode \
            --disable-dav \
            --disable-dav-fs \
            --with-layout=Apache

I'm disabling DAV because mod_dav can't find the symbols in dav_fs and I
haven't had time to even think about dealing with that. $PREFIX is set to
/tmp/apache2 for this occasion.

I'll delve into the code some but can't make any promises.

S.
