Summary: APR ABI change with _FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 due to use of
                    ino_t
           Product: APR
           Version: 1.2.11
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: minor
          Priority: P2
         Component: APR
        AssignedTo: bugs@apr.apache.org
        ReportedBy: Lucian.Grijincu@gmail.com
                CC: Lucian.Grijincu@gmail.com

apr_file_info.h uses a member of apr_ino_t type in the apr_finfo_t structure.

On unices apr_ino_t is typedef'ed to ino_t. The size of ino_t is not fixed on
LFS capable architectures: it varies with the value of _FILE_OFFSET_BITS:
for _FILE_OFFSET_BITS=32 it is 4 bytes long
for _FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 it is 8 bytes long.

If apr_ino_t would be typedef'ed to a value invariant with respect to the value
of _FILE_OFFSET_BITS, and which would be equal to the size of ino_t on that
architecture when _FILE_OFFSET_BITS is at the default value, the ABI would not
change.
