           Summary: APR_PID_T_FMT forced to %ld on solaris
           Product: APR
           Version: HEAD
          Platform: Sun
        OS/Version: Solaris
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: APR
        AssignedTo: bugs@apr.apache.org
        ReportedBy: covener@gmail.com

configure.in overrides the APR_PID_T_FMT broadly for Solaris:

  *-solaris*)
      pid_t_fmt='#define APR_PID_T_FMT "ld"'
      ;;

But the 64-bit architectures (sparcv9, em64t) define pid_t as an int.

Does anyone recall if there's some pid_t detection problem without the hint?

A conservative change might be to restrict this override to something that
excludes i386-pc-solaris2.10

(I'm seeing big negative numbers instead of pids in httpd via mod_ldap on sun/amd64)
