Summary: configure LARGEFILE: missing mode flag in open test
           Product: APR
           Version: HEAD
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Solaris
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: APR
        AssignedTo: bugs@apr.apache.org
        ReportedBy: rainer.jung@kippdata.de

The test for largefile support in configure tries to open a file with O_CREAT
without giving a file mode. POSIX says you need to provide a mode if you use
O_CREAT. In fact other places in configure actually do that.

On Solaris if your build directory is on NFS, the open will fail (with or
without LARGEFILE) and thus the LARGEFILE test will fail, although large files
are actualy supported.

As soon as one adds mode bits to the test, it succeeds even when building on an
NFS share.
