Is the tuple itself not aware of the key fields ? I'm thinking about the
file in Malhar:

*demos/machinedata/src/main/java/com/datatorrent/demos/machinedata/operator/CalculatorOperator.java*

and the *MachineInfoStreamCodec* in it.
