You might try to compute the dir and hand that value to javac...

For example:

<basename file="${src.dir}" property="basedir.basename"/>
<dirname file="${src.dir}" property="basedir.dir"/>

<javac srcdir="${basedir.dir}/${basedir.basename}" .../>


Not sure that will fix it...but it may :)
