get a chatty log with either loglevel -verbose | -debug, means try
ant -verbose -f yourbuild.xml ..
ant -debug -f yourbuild.xml ..

which adjusts the loglevel for your whole build or better IMO
use setloglevel [1] to shed light on specific sections of your build


<project ...>
....
<setloglevel level="verbose|debug"/>
 your stuff you want to
 know more details..
<!-- use normal loglevel again -->
<setloglevel level="info"/>
....
</project>
