Most people nowadays ignore the physical structure of an XML document,
i.e. they ignore external entities, and also parameter entities. But
they're damn useful.

Me too. Just discovered "dit" and "dat". See ":help it", ":h at", ":h
tag-blocks". But you probably knew this.
