Hi,
Prob is I want to proceed further in the build script....in both the cases  If db doesnot
exists then prompt the user and continue the script and if does continue the script

Just an idea:
use <sql onerror="abort"> and execute an sql command which works only if your database
is correctly set up. 

If that sql fails, the task will throw a BuildException which causes the build to fail.
Otherwise, just ignore the result of the sql and proceed.
