Varuna, the answer to your question is that you most likely want the file ant-current-bin.zip. That contains the zipped-up compiled version of ant that you can run as soon as you have unzipped it. If you prefer ant delivered with a different type of compression, such as tar.gz, you can find it in the binaries directory. The files ending with .asc, .md5, and .sha are signatures to verify that the compressed file hasn't been tampered with. If you don't know what they are, you don't need them. The ant-current-src.zip file contains the source code for Ant, but unless you plan on making programming changes to Ant then you won't need that either. As for supareno's response, I have two issues. First, I do not see where in the manual Varuna's question is answered, not even here[1]. We should probably address this. Secondly, can I ask that we treat everyone with respect on this list? Not everyone was born with the knowledge of what different file extensions represent, and not all Ant users are programmers. Thanks.
