May be your task does not expand refids. Have you tried cut pasting the
classpath instead of referring to it ?

The problem obviously indicates that there is a difference between the
way junit task and "your task" launch the JVM. You should aim your
efforts in finding out what that difference is. Even if the above
suggestion does not work, persist with the problem and try out another
combination.
