Subject Unknown task org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.Echo@be834a What does it mean?
Date Wed, 28 Feb 2007 15:37:44 GMT
Hello Ant Users,

I'm getting a strange error when running a custom task from cruise control. I don't get the
error if I run the same command from the command line.

First of all I would like to understand the error:
Unknown task org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.Echo@be834a not in {org.apache.tools.ant.UnknownElement@c931fb=task:antcall,
org.apache.tools.ant.UnknownElement@ca9f78=task:remotebuild, org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.Echo@227bd0=task:10.32.190.39.path}

What does it mean that ant looks for org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.Echo@be834a but has org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.Echo@227bd0=task:10.32.190.39.path

The background: The custom task executes on another machine via RMI on a remote ant server.
The implementation tries to create an Echo-Task locally, in order to use it as a replacement
for the task running an the remote machine.

Thanks for help

jacques
