Subject Re: How to dump heap on OutOfMemoryError from ant
Date Wed, 18 Oct 2006 21:35:06 GMT

try updating the ant shell/batch file. I am using
1.6.2 in Windows, so looking at
\apache-ant-1.6.2\bin\ant.bat
this is what I would do (see where I place your
-XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError
 -XX:HeapDumpPath=e:\ant.hprof):

:runAnt
if not "%CLASSPATH%"=="" goto runAntWithClasspath
"%_JAVACMD%" -XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError
 -XX:HeapDumpPath=e:\ant.hprof %ANT_OPTS% -classpath
"%ANT_HOME%\lib\ant-launcher.jar"
"-Dant.home=%ANT_HOME%"
org.apache.tools.ant.launch.Launcher %ANT_ARGS%
%ANT_CMD_LINE_ARGS%
goto end
