Yes, I use Eclipse.

Thanks for the information you found.

I will check why Eclipse 3.1.2 is doing this strange thing. Maybe a bug.

OK, i see, you have probs with leading spaces

i think i have hit the problem

i tried with

---------------------------
    Bla blubbbber

    asda
ASDF
12345678

    asdf
---------------------------

and =

     ${bla}

      ech o 1

              echo 2

1.
result with commandline ant =

depends:
     [echo] Bla blubbbber
     [echo]
     [echo]
     [echo] asda
     [echo] ASDF
     [echo] 12345678
     [echo]
     [echo] asdf

main:
     [echo]
     [echo] ech o 1
     [echo] echo 2

2.
result in eclipse

depends:
     [echo] Bla blubbbber
     [echo]
     [echo]
     [echo] asda
     [echo] ASDF
     [echo] 12345678
     [echo]
     [echo] asdf
main:
     [echo] ech o 1
     [echo] echo 2

So the output is beautified by your IDE :-)

Try it with

      adgl

     sdfsdf

  The result will be

  adgl

  sdfsdf
