We're looking for Ant and build/deployment experts and figured this  
list is the best place to find them. The position is based in San  
Mateo, CA, but telecommuting is an option for the right person. If  
you are based outside of the US and are interested, still let us

Do you like creating tools? Do you have an eye for app-lifecycle  
automation? Do you seek challenges?

ControlTier is looking for skilled and creative engineers with both  
development and systems management expertise. ControlTier develops  
open source tools for automating the building and deployment of  
applications and complex systems. All members of the ControlTier team  
split their time between tools development and applying those tools  
for customers who operate medium to large online environments.

Responsibilities
* Developing and implementing application build and deployment  
automation solutions.
* Analyze existing customer's build and deployment practices to  
develop requirements and design for open source tools.
* Manage and track the resolution of bugs

Required Skills
* Solid Ant expertise
* Excellent shell scripting in languages such as Bourne/bash, perl
* Familiarity with OOP methodology
* Familiarity with system administration (Linux, Solaris, etc)
* Experience with build and test automation tools (Ant, make, maven,  
etc.)
* Experience with source code repositories (CVS, SVN, etc)
* Knowledge of distributed application technologies (JSP, Servlets,  
EJB, JMS,,.NET, etc.)
* Knowledge of Application Servers (JBoss, Weblogic, IIS, etc.)
* Experience with code and environment promotion
* Strong problem solving skills

Additional Skills
* Cross platform experience (mixed Windows/Unix environments)
* Contribution to open-source projects
* Knowledge of semantic web concepts (RDF/RDQL/Sparql)
* Knowledge of branching, tags, merging
* Configuration management best practices
