It is an extension of Java designed to manipulate tree structures and XML documents. Tom 2.3 was released today, and contains many new improvements: https://gforge.inria.fr/forum/forum.php?forum_id=1166 The Tom pattern matching compiler, and the Gom data structure compiler are shipped with ant tasks making it easy to use them in a complex project. Since Tom and Gom are used to bootstrap the compilers, their build makes an heavy use of those tasks. As the path to the external.xml file in the Faq is wrong, i did not get a patch for this file. I don't really know how to get a recent version of this file. However, here are the informations: - name: tom - Tom is a software environment for defining transformations in Java.
