You can consider
1) in a first phase, using ant just as a wrapper, and call your old
batches
(using the exec task)

2) replacing incrementally your batches by custom tasks

The second solution can be the best, will require that you do some
development. There are plenty of resources (ant manual, wiki) which
explain
how to create custom ant tasks.
