Subject RE: Zip and empty directory

Without it actually being a directory, how would the zipfile know if
"inside/emptydir" is either a directory or a file?

Subject: Zip and empty directory

   Hello,

 What is the best way to create a zip containing an empty directory without
having to create an empty directory on disk.

 I tried the following way:
 <zipfileset dir="existingdir" excludes="**" prefix="inside/emptydir"/>

 But as the fileset is empty, no directory entry for 'inside/emptydir' is
added  in the zip.

 Have you got a solution ?
 Thank you in advance.
 Regards
