I'm using the latest: 1.6.2

Unfortunately, as I'm running the target against freshly built
directories, using <subant> with the genericAntFile option seems the
sensible way to go.

<macrodef> is a great replacement for <antcall>.  Not
sure that/how it would help replace <subant>.  What
version of Ant are you using, Alan?
