Something like the following. The file "appendfile.in" did not exist.

      <exec executable="myexe">
         <redirector>
            <inputmapper type="merge" to="file.in"/>
            <inputfilterchain>
               <concatfilter append="appendfile.in"/>
            </inputfilterchain>
         </redirector>
      </exec>

Can you show us how you use it? If you use a <fileset> to specify which
files to concatenate, it finds only existing files. If you use
<filelist>
(I assume <concat> supports it), all files must exist. --DD
