Subject RE: Trying to invoke an external task
Date Wed, 14 Jul 2004 14:51:40 GMT
We are new to using ANT and are using the following command to invoke

java org.apache.tools.ant.Main -buildfile ascii.xml

Is this a bad way of invoking? Please advice.

Our main concern so far has been that we are not able to invoke an external task using exec.
Following is my script and the error message (we have Apache Ant version 1.5.2 compiled on
February 28 2003):

"java org.apache.tools.ant.Main -version"

Is that the way you usually starts ant? I hope not ...
